External transmission of information
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This is the list referred to in section 10 of our Privacy Policy, published under the external transmission rules of Japan's Telecommunications Business Act. It covers each case where a PolicyHQ page has your browser send information about you directly to another company: who receives it, what is sent, and why.
Requests your browser makes to PolicyHQ's own addresses (policyhq.ai and app.policyhq.ai) are not listed here, including error reports and page-speed measurements that our servers then pass to the providers that run them for us. Those providers are covered by the Privacy Policy and our subprocessor list.
1. Google Analytics
- Recipient: Google LLC.
- Where: the public site, policyhq.ai.
- Information sent: the page you view and the page you came from; browser, device, screen size and language; your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your country and city and does not store; a randomly generated cookie identifier; and whether you completed a demo request, a sample-brief request or a newsletter sign-up (not what you entered in the form).
- Purpose: counting visits and sign-ups so we can see which pages work and improve the site.
- Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: no analytics cookie is set and no identifier is stored.
- Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. To opt out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
2. Google Maps
- Recipient: Google LLC.
- Where: event pages in the PolicyHQ app that show a map of the venue.
- Information sent: the venue address shown on the map; your IP address, browser and device information; the app's address (app.policyhq.ai, not the page you are on); and any Google cookies your browser sends with the request.
- Purpose: showing where the event takes place.
- Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Google site icons
- Recipient: Google LLC.
- Where: news lists and stakeholder pages in the PolicyHQ app.
- Information sent: the website of each news source on the page (for example, meti.go.jp); your IP address, browser and device information; the app's address (not the page you are on); and any Google cookies your browser sends with the request.
- Purpose: showing each source's small logo next to its articles.
- Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
